Kirkland, WA – The southbound lanes of Totem Lake Boulevard from south of 120th Avenue NE to north of NE 124th Street are closed due to water over the roadway. Southbound traffic is being routed into the center lane. City crews are responding to other areas experiencing flooding including Billy Creek, the Plaza at Yarrow Bay, the intersection of 120th Avenue NE and NE 109th Street, and a slide reported across from 405 Lake Street. Drivers are encouraged to use caution on the roads and to avoid the troubled areas listed above. -

We're getting some reports of schools letting out early today or starting late tomorrow due to the weather.

Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management has activated the county’s Severe Weather Shelter Plan.
The shelter will open at 6 PM, Monday, November 19, 2012. Hours of operation will be from 6 PM until 7 AM. Guests will not be able to check into the shelter after 10 PM.
The location is as follows:
Bremerton Food Line
1600 12th Street
Bremerton, WA 98337
The shelter will serve all citizens in our area who require safe overnight refuge where none is available. Further activations will be weather dependent. Stay tuned.
