Flooding causes sewer overflows in Everett: Due to heavy rainfall in Everett, ten of twelve combined sewer outfalls overflowed into the Snohomish River and Port Gardner Bay today. One of the sewer lift stations in the separated system also overflowed for approximately 55 minutes early afternoon. The lift station was at full operations throughout this period. Quantities are unknown at this time.
Everett has notified local agencies including State departments of Health and Ecology, Snohomish Health District and Port of Everett.
Overflows have occurred at Puget Sound Outfalls 01, 02, 05, 06, and 07; and at our Snohomish River Outfalls 01, 02, 04, 07, and 08. For locations and current status please go to www.everettwa.org -
Sandbag stations in Centralia: The Centralia Police Department and City of Centralia has declared a local emergency in reference to the continued rainfall. The rain is expected to continue for the next 36 hours, causing local rivers, creeks and streams to exceed flood stages.
Sandbag stations will be operational by 5pm in the 100 block of Center Street (near the Fire Station) and at 1227 Harrison Avenue (Harrison Square Presbyterian Church). The stations will not be manned full time but will be monitored for constant supply.
The emergency shelter located at 416 N. Tower Avenue will be open and can accommodate up to 50 people for emergencies only. -

Chehalis River flood warning: The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Flood Warning for the Chehalis River. The Flood Warning is in effect from Tuesday morning November 20 through late Wednesday night November 21. A recorded message was sent to subscribers from the Thurston County Emergency Management Telephone Alert System with information about the Flood Warning.
Current projections predict that the Chehalis River at the Grand Mound gage will reach flood stage (14 feet) at about 7 a.m. on Tuesday, and crest at around 16.5 feet by 4 a.m. Wednesday, with moderate flooding in the area forecast. It is likely that several roads in the Independence Valley area will be flooded, including State Route 12, James Road, Independence Road, Moon Road and Anderson Road. Drivers are reminded to never drive on flooded roads or roads that are closed because it only takes 18 inches of water to float a small car. -
WSDOT road closure info (Southwest WA): VANCOUVER - Three Southwest Washington highways are closed tonight, limiting travel between Interstate 5 and the coast.
US 101 remains closed at the Astoria-Megler Bridge. The bridge has been closed since this morning, when high winds tipped a semi-truck over on the center span.
State Route 4 is closed from Jacobson Road to Germany Creek Road (mileposts 36 to 50) due to water over the roadway. Follow signs for a local detour.
SR 6 is closed due to high water in two locations:
Bilow Road to Frances (mileposts 13 to 17)
White Road to just west of the South Fork Chehalis River Bridge (mileposts 40 to 43) -

Grays Harbor PUD outage update: PUD crews are continuing to work to restore power after windy conditions hit the coast today. There are approximately 700 customers without power in the following areas.
Central Park: Power is expected to be restored to the Linkshire area by about 6pm.
Montesano to North river: 200 customers remain without power due to trees through lines. Estimated time for restoration of power is 10pm.
"B" Street area of North Aberdeen: 200 customers remain without power. There is no estimated time for restoration of power yet.
Bench Drive area and south end of Wishkah Rd: 200 customers remain without power. A crew has responded. There is no estimated time for restoration of power yet. -
